Group website looking faded so…

Timeline: the last time this site was gone over was when the first flat panel (”half-dome”) iMacs were released. Yes! That long ago!

Besides looking dated, the functionality was just not there for the group members. Similar content spread over separate pages, lot of static information just sitting there doing nothing.

So the BoiseMacs site got a full redesign and complete integration with the latest and greatest WordPress release. It’s due. Now we can stand with the best of the MUG websites knowing we’re serving our membership and interested parties.

How about your group or nonprofit’s site? Is it in need of some work? You don’t have to break the bank. Ask what CFDS can do for your website, while fitting within your budget.

Some websites can save lives

If you or someone you care for has been diagnosed with diabetes, and you live around Boise, you need to talk to the people at Humphreys Diabetes Center. They care deeply about reaching people who have been affected or who are at risk, and either treating — or, even better — preventing the development of diabetes.
They hired us to redesign their web site (we’d worked on an earlier version a few years ago) to make it better. To make updates faster and easy, their site is now framed in a content management system. This gets info out faster. Their (many!) classes and events are quickly scannable on their calendar. And both those that are affected by diabetes and medical professionals and researchers can stay up with their news via RSS subscription.

We appreciate our relationship with Humphreys Diabetes Center, further enhancements coming down the road, enabling them to reach and communicate with the people they care about.

ISCPM is a nonprofit organization for Idaho government managers who are or have completed the CPM program to improve their leadership and organizational skills.

CFDS was approached when the board realized their current site was visually and technically out of date and not meeting their needs in fostering communication between officers and members and prospective members.

We built a members area for self-administration of members’ contact information and a custom administrative area for adding members and their project details and upcoming news and events.

Shared caring, shared experience

These Idaho families, who’ve adopted children from several Asian countries, came together to form a group for support, resource-sharing, and community.

This project encompassed the complete redesign of an existing site which had become “overgrown” and was difficult to administer. The new site is based on a personalized WordPress installation with an add-on self-administered gallery area with opportunities to search by both time and theme.

The Reserve Street Armory is an historic structure which has been disused for some time but which would be a tremendous asset to the north-east Boise neighborhood and the city at large, once the multitude of possible uses have been narrowed to the most feasible few.

CFDS worked with the volunteer Advisory Committee to develop a way to provide the neighborhood community information as it became available, and to solicit and selectively publish ideas and comments.

The logo was created as part of this project.
